Step 1: Monitoring the Primary Connection

As long as the primary connection responds, all outbound traffic uses it. The LTE backup remains on standby.

Step 2: Detecting an Outage

If multiple health checks fail, the system treats the primary as “down.” This may be caused by regional ISP outages, local line damage, or upstream routing issues.

Step 3: Failing Over to LTE

The firewall automatically shifts traffic to LTE. No user action is needed.
